At Day Tool & Mfg, we have been perfecting precision tooling, stamping dies, special machines, and machined parts for nearly 60 years.

Our electrical discharge machining (EDM) capabilities allow us to work with metals for which traditional machining was previously ineffective. By using electrically conductive materials our 4-axis cutting equipment can machine with both traditional and exotic metals, including steel, aluminum, stainless, titanium, Inconel, and Hastelloy. Along with electrode machining, we offer Wire EDM, which uses an electrically charged brass wire and deionized water to erode or “cut” through the material in a very controlled manner. This process is ideal for machining complex parts and precision components from hard conductive materials, resulting in virtually stress free machining. Our expert staff can also perform Sinker EDM, a process where an electrode is used cut a geometric pattern into the material that is also useful for creating dies.

Our advanced equipment has other capabilities such as CNC control, glass scales, chiller units, and automatic wire threading. These features allow us to produce parts with a minimum part feature of 0.004” to 0.10”, length up to 19”, width up to 13”, and height of up to 10”, with the ability to offer an almost ground finish. Along with our dedication to quick turnaround times and customer service, our electrical discharge machining is ideal for the aerospace, biotech, electronic, medical, and packaging industries. Work is inspected using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and optical comparator. We perform work of the highest quality and are AS 9100, Rev D. and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
